Official sources · versioned · independent practice

A change ledger for cross-border seller compliance.

We watch official US product-safety, customs and trade sources and publish a versioned change ledger for cross-border sellers. Every entry keeps its source URL, first-seen and last-seen dates.

Six US federal agencies, CPSC product recalls, and UK OPSS safety plus HMRC customs notices. Thirty-day window. Each document is quoted as published, filed to an append-only monthly ledger, and never silently rewritten. No interpretation, no ranking, no legal advice.

Pricing is a proposal. Nothing is charged on this page and no checkout exists.

What the ledger tracks

One entry per official document that can change an import, a label, an advertising claim or a landed cost. Procedural notices — meetings, accreditations, information collections, corrections, eCTD/biologics — are filtered out.

Product safety

Recalls, hazards, standards

CPSC rules and safety standards for consumer products, including batteries and children's products, with the citation and date as published.

Border

Customs, tariffs, trade remedies

CBP entry and import procedure, USTR Section 301/232 actions, and ITA antidumping and countervailing findings that set cash-deposit rates.

Market access

Labels, food, advertising

FDA labelling and import requirements, and FTC advertising and endorsement rules that reach listings and influencer posts.

Latest entries in the ledger

Four most recently published documents. Every entry links to the Federal Register and carries its first-seen and last-seen dates.

Pilot details & key request

These are proposed tiers for validation, not a live offer. No card fields, no checkout, no subscription is created. The alert delivery engine is built and a test digest has been delivered; no subscriber list, billing or live alerts exist yet. A keyed pilot endpoint (/ledger/feed) is built and tested: send x-api-key with agency, category, kind, since, limit and cursor. Evaluation keys are issued on request and do not imply a paid subscription.

Interest only: records your email and category. No payment, no subscription, no alerts are sent yet.

How an entry is made

Facts stay as published. The only transformation is trimming an abstract to the text the agency published.

  1. Fetch official documentsSix Federal Register agencies (30 days), CPSC recalls via saferproducts.gov (14 days), and GOV.UK OPSS plus HMRC customs notices (120 days).
  2. Filter to seller scopeProcedural notices are dropped; recalls, standards, labelling, import, customs, tariffs, trade remedies, batteries, chemicals and advertising are kept.
  3. Append to the monthly ledgerOne JSONL record per change. Items are deduplicated by a hash of the source URL or recall number; history is never rewritten.
  4. Publish the view and the feedThe current view, an RSS feed of material changes and this page are rebuilt from the ledger, not from a draft.

Questions

Where do the entries come from?

The Federal Register API, filtered to six agencies: CPSC, CBP, FTC, FDA, USTR and ITA. Titles, abstracts, citations and dates are used exactly as published. Each entry links to its source document.

Is this legal advice?

No. The ledger records that a document was published and what it says. It does not tell you whether or how it applies to your product. Check the source and take qualified advice before acting.

What does "versioned" mean here?

Each monthly file is append-only. A re-seen item gets an updated last-seen date; if its published text changes, a new record is appended and the old one stays in history. Nothing is deleted or silently edited.

Can I inspect the data before paying?

Yes. The static API under /api/ is free and needs no key: full current view, latest 50, last-7-days and per-agency slices. The sample alert is generated from the same entries. The proposed paid tiers add filters and alert delivery, not access to the current view.

Is OpenYuri a company?

No. OpenYuri is an independent practice. It is not a registered company, and this page makes no claims about clients, revenue or endorsements.

Disclaimer. OpenYuri is an independent practice, not a registered company. This page is a product proposal: the plans, prices and features are not a live offer, no payment is collected, and no checkout exists. Nothing here is legal, customs or trade advice. Entries quote official US Federal Register documents; verify every detail against the linked source before relying on it. No claims are made about customers, revenue, team size, addresses or endorsements. Source documents remain the property of their publishers.
